When I woke up on the morning of the 29th of
May (Democracy Day) Nigeria, I had figured I would be spending the day like every other
public holiday; do a little lazy lounging till about 10am or 11am, then head to
the studio and chill, maybe do a couple of shots...well, it didn’t go as
planned...about 25 phone calls, 3 tots or maybe 4 of vodka and almost a pack
of cigarettes later(long story, I swear), I found myself sitting at the front
passenger sit of a black car, my cousin Azika at the
steering as we were headed towards the
city gates from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport when this sunset in the
rear view mirror caught my eye.
